Elite 11 coach
Justin Hoover is the owner and Quarterback Instructor at Spin It Quarterback Academy. Spin It provides private or group lessons for interested quarterbacks at any level: junior high, high school or college. Hoover is a member of the Elite 11 and The Opening coaching staff. He has also been a part of the prestigious camp and coaching staff for the Manning Passing Academy.
His passion for the quarterback position and coaching comes from his own coaches growing up. He realized at a young age what kind of an influence a coach has on a young man.
During his time as a quarterback coach, Hoover has helped mentor more than thirty starting quarterbacks at varying college levels and trained draft eligible quarterbacks prior to their pro days including the 2019 Denver Broncos 2nd Round pick Drew Lock.
Hoover is in his 14th season as a high school football coach, spending 10 seasons at Bishop Miege High School where he was part of 5 Kansas State Championships. Coach Hoover is entering his 3rd season as the Head Football Coach at Shawnee Mission East High School
Hoover was born in Nevada, Missouri and grew up playing multiple sports. His love for football took him to Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. He played two seasons for the Gorillas before injuring his knee.
Justin has been married to his wife Cara for 10 years and they have a 7 year old daughter Burkley and a 5 year old daughter Avery.
