Bret Beachner
Spin it coach
Bret Beachner comes to Spin It after spending 12 years coaching at the collegiate level. His experience spans almost every level of college football from the NAIA to the SEC.
During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Bret was the Co-Offensive Coordinator and Tight Ends coach at Howard University in Washington DC. Prior to that, he was on staff at the University of Florida as assistant wide receivers coach and offensive quality control for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. During his two years in Gainesville, the Gators had two 10-win seasons, won two New Years Six Bowl games (‘18 Peach Bowl, ‘19 Orange Bowl), and saw five receivers get drafted, including first-round picks Kyle Pitts (Atlanta Falcons) and Kadarius Toney (New York Giants). He held the same position from 2015-2017 at Mississippi State University. All three seasons ended in bowl game victories for the Bulldogs and included two All-SEC receivers, Fred Ross and De’Runnya Wilson.
Prior to his time in the SEC, Bret spent the 2014 season at the University of North Texas as the assistant Tight Ends coach, 2013 at Midwestern State University as the Running Backs coach, and from 2010-2012 at Ottawa University where he got his start in coaching as the Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers coach for the Braves.
Bret grew up in Lee’s Summit, MO and played quarterback for Lee’s Summit High School. He continued his playing career at the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota. The Cougars would play in three consecutive NAIA National championship games from 2006-2008, winning in ‘06 and ‘08.
In addition to Spin It, Bret will also be coaching quarterbacks at Bishop Miege High School this fall. Bret and his wife Amanda have three kids, Riley, Ellie, and Jackson.
